Jeffries Elementary School Reviews

I think that Jeffries is a wonderful school. My son has had great teachers and we have a super staff. Our teachers perform at a very high standard and our principal leadership is great. The PTA is not a clique. They are very easy to get involved with and are always looking for any new people that want to be involved. Jeffries is a great school! I would not send my children anywhere else.

The teachers my children had for 2006-2007 were exceptional. The teachers conducting the special classes were also wonderful. I am concerned about class size as it is not 17 children per teacher (more like 24). There could always be more extracurricular activites for the children either before or after school. It would also be nice if there were curriculum challenges made to 'high performing' students that don't qualify for the WINGS program. Parent involvment at this school seems OK for the younger grades, but starting in 3rd grade, there is a real drop in participation. The PTA seems to have their own clique and little information came home with regards to things that they voted on. If you were unable to attend a meeting, you missed out on any and all info. The principal was quick to respond to any and all of my concerns.

This is my sons very first year of school. He is in kindergarten and I am so glad that he goes to Jeffries. He has a great teacher. The principals are very nice and understanding. They talk to him like big kid and he loves that. I think that Jeffries is a great school. All the teachers are wonderful and very polite.
