Springfield Catholic High School Reviews

Its a pretty good school. It has the basic classes, I wish there were more though. It has nice teachers, but the administration is a different story. Most students do not like the administration, with the exception of one, and they do an ok job at running it. We are getting a new tuition policy that bases the amount you pay on how much you make.

I had the priveledge of attending SCHS. After attending college, I felt that SCHS had fully prepared me for the demands of college academics and I could not imagine a better high school education curriculum. SCHS has a great atmosphere that fosters leadership, character building, responsibility, and Christian values. The opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities like sports, theatre and band, and class projects are available to every student and students at SCHS build strong bonds of friendship with their classmates. The staff of SCHS are great mentors to their students and deserve a thankful recognition of their hard work.

Springfield Catholic is giving my son an edge as he continues his education. He will be ahead of the game as he persues his chosen profession. I'm a public school teacher and one reason I chose SCHS is the time in class is spent on task, not on discipline. The grading scale is more rigorous, so students must 'stand and deliver.' A 'D' in a public schools is an 'F' at SCHS. This last year, random drug testing was instituted. My son has already enjoyed working with successful college coaches due to the reputation of the sports program. Positive parental involvement supports the goals and values of SCHS. The result is 'the village' approach we hear so much about.

It's a good school, where all the kids know each other and the teachers know all the students. Parents are very involved in all areas of the school. Expectations are high for the students and the grading scale is tougher than some. There is a 'no cut' rule in sports so all kids can be involved.
