Pleasant View Elementary School Reviews

I attended PV myself and now my daughter is. I am so pleased with each teacher, administrator and secretary with there involvment and true concern for each child. The parent and teacher involvement continues to suprise me at each event!

My daughter really enjoys attending Pleasant View. The teachers are excellent.

My son started Pleasant View this year and we love it! Not only are the teachers and staff wonderful, it is refreshing to know that they do not lack morals. Parent involvment is so great. Field trips, school parties and programs are always standing room only. The PTA is very involved sponsoring all kinds of events to get parents involved with the school. Academic programs are great. My son is only in kindergarten but he learns so much daily. We get weekly newsletters from the teacher that tell us what they are working on and and what they will be that week. That helps us as parents to assist our children in their studies. I do not have enough nice thing to say about Pleasant View!

Pleasant View has always been a great school. I attended there as a Jr High student and now my son is a elementary student there. We have had nothing but a good experience in this school. We have found there is strong leadership and an excellent faculty. PTA and parent involvment are superior compared to other schools in the district.

We had repeat problems with the school nurse calling us at work for non-emergency reasons (ie, one child got a stain on his shirt and she called because he didn't want to change into the school's spare clothing.) Teachers did not keep private info confidential--when we began treatment for ADD, we received several comments from the principal, secretary, school nurse, other same-grade teacher, school bus driver, and future grade teachers about the treatment program-- including intrusive questions about dosage, medication type, etc. Teacher called me at work on more than one occassion to ask if student had had his medication that day. (Student didn't want to color with the rest of the class--wished to look at a book instead.)

No a/c, playground is basically a dirt field, teachers are great, but administration can be rude and difficult to contact; also slow to respond to instances of bullying.
