Republic High School Reviews

Republic High School is a horrible school. There are very few teachers that care about Students. If your parents give the booster club money or if you are from what is perceived to be wealthy the sky is the limit.

Republic High School is the most Snobbish and clicky school I have every witnessed. We are new to Republic, the parents, student and staff treats our child as if they are criminal. There is no programs to help new kids adjust, no mentor no ambassador nothing !!!! The athletic program does not try to build new and improving athletics but try to discourage them from playing (kid that have come from the elementary school will be fine) If I had this move to do over I would not have moved to Republic !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Republic has an infamous history of favoring particular students and families in all regards including but not limited to: sports, academics. The student body tended to be clicky, somewhat snobby and un-accepting of new kids, new residents of Republic school district! The administration does not care that this goes on. There are no programs to help new students adjust. If your child is a good student and does not get in trouble you would not meet or get to know any of the four Principles. I do not think that the school is full of bad kids, just kid / parents and a staff that needs to be reminded what it feel like to be new!!!!!

Republic has the most wonderful teacher that put so much time and energy into making the student's learning experience a success. Parent's are given so many opportunities to become involved with activites which make it fun for them and their child, as they meet and develop relationships with other parents. Republic offers many extrcurricular activites that many smaller schools do not offer. Because of the growth of the Republic School District, a new high school will be built, which will provide the much needed space and even further opportunites for newer and improved learning experiences for students. As a parent of a younger student, I am looking forward to seeing her graduate from Republic and have the many opportunities I didn't have while attending a smaller school.

Republic has a pretty good school system, but I've noticed that because it's so small, they don't have the best teachers. They tend to spend more money on sports and less on the educational aspect of our learning. But in the past few years Republic has really grown, so I think it will get better in the next few years.

Very good school, It has a lot to offer for your child including a high level of competitiveness of sports, especially girls basketball (state champs in 04) Very good teacher quality and great leadership from Vicki Neal (principal)
